In a world that is increasingly opening up to and understanding those with mental health issues, it’s no surprise that Mental Health Awareness Week is now a firm fixture on calendars around the UK and beyond. It’s organised by the Mental Health Foundation and focuses on a major issue each and every year.
Managed 24/7 will be recognising this fixture this year. The week for the diary is Monday 14 May – Friday 18 May 2018 and there will be a few things that we will be promoting during the week.
In 2018, Mental Health Awareness Week is focusing on stress. Research has shown that 16 million people experience a mental health problem each year, and stress is a key factor in this. As part of its attempts to further open dialogue about mental health, Managed 24/7 has organised for Arthur Ellis who strives to support and raise awareness on Mental Health to come into the offices on Thursday 17 May to deliver a workshop to all staff, giving an overview about mental health in the workplace and stress/anxiety at work and at home and how to manage this.
This workshop is something that all of our staff will be attending as there will be something that we can all learn from it.
Alongside the stress at work workshop, we will also be holding ‘tea and chat’ sessions with HR and line managers for open discussions. Lunch breaks will consist of walks around the local area to get speaking with others and to get some space away from work.
Friday brings our wellness breakfast, which although is not a focus on mental health, it can support a healthy mind with nutritious foods to start the day.
Here at Managed 24/7 we pride ourselves on positive staff wellness and ensure that we provide help and support for all of our staff for their health requirements. We run employee engagement surveys internally to receive feedback to always improve on our culture which currently sits at 91% engagement. Our aim is to continue to improve our company’s culture by using OfficeVibe and building a stronger company culture.
