CS-1 Enterprise Class Voice Platform Celebrates 500th User

September 1st, 2010

CS-1 is a VoIP platform for SME and Mid-Market consumers (5-500 users) and is Managed247’s answer to simplifying telecommunications, lowering operational and call costs whilst offering businesses all the features and benefits of an enterprise class voice system. The CS-1 Communication Server is a Managed247 product.

The CS-1 comes in 3 form factors; 1u Rackmount, 4u Tower Server and Small Form Factor depending on number of users and can be deployed to a 5 user office at less than the cost of one smartphone.

CS-1 has all the key features you would expect from an enterprise voice platform including call recording, voicemail to wav, conferencing, skills based routing, remote user and advance call reporting. It can also scale to a full featured call centre solution with wallboard presentation. The platform is scalable through additional storage options and can offer significant savings on mobile costs by utilising MobileOne (a CS-1 Mobile Option).

“Since its launch in late 2009, we have now deployed the CS-1 to our 500th user. There was a clear void in the market for SME and Mid-Market to deliver an enterprise class voice system utilising all the advantages of VoIP and Cloud Backup at a reasonable price. The CS-1 continues to gain momentum in enquiries and deployments and is a stable, secure platform that competes exceptionally well with the larger players.” John Pepper, Managing Director

Are Apple Devices Changing The Way We Live, Work & Play?

July 1st, 2010

With the launch of iPhone 4 following rapidly after the launch of iPad, what is the impact to the business community?

Information is becoming easier to share and access which is allowing business leaders and employees to access the information they need at the right time to make essential and better decisions. This technology can make businesses not only more operationally efficient but deliver better customer experience than ever before, whilst delivering huge competitive edge over late adopters.

John Pepper, Managing Director of Managed247 comments;”Despite some reports, iPhone’s and iPads can be secured to the tightest of security regulations. Also, i.X tools allow employees to collaborate with each other and with their customers like never seen before.

Let me give you an example. We are working with a business that has receptionists that sit behind a desk and when guests visit the reception area, they sign in at the desk, then the phone goes, then the receptionist makes a coffee for the guest etc etc. High workload, no mobility and potentially poor customer experience. Pretty standard stuff right?

We are trialling and developing an iPad reception application that provides the receptionist with a sign in tool where the customer signs themselves in on an iPad, whilst on a different iPad it provides the call management console so calls can be routed effectively by the receptionist. This, in conjunction with a bluetooth headset provides, total mobile reception areas. Providing the receptionist is able to see a WiFi connection they are able to operate. Reception areas and the role of the receptionist will change forever.

Whats more of course, we couple this with a hosted voice solution so the call cost savings pays for the solution in less than a month in most cases!”

The key is that these devices are great socially (ie you will use them at weekends etc) but are also incredibly powerful work tools that at nights and weekends can turn themselves into social tools. Whether you love or hate Apple mobile devices, they are changing the way we work, live and play forever…….

Cloud Computing White Paper Published

April 2nd, 2010

Managed247 has published a Cloud Computing White Paper outlining the key benefits to businesses whatever their size of cloud delivered applications. This follows on from the success of a number of significant wins in London, UK.

To read the paper, click here

“Whilst Hosted Desktop Infrastructure is not an implement and fix eveything solution, it is a very useful tool in a suite of measures to assist business owners in getting a firm grip on technology costs whilst  introducing flexibility and control into their application delivery. We hope that business owners have the opportunity of reading this publication and make informed decisions or pick up the phone to us and ask further questions.

We have now launched our 30 day hosted desktop test drive which includes Microsoft Office 2007 and a thin client to run a virtual desktop (the thin client is the size of a fizzy drinks can and saves over 99% of electricity usage over a legacy PC). All we need for a business to sign up for the trial is an internet connection. To register businesses need to call us on 0845 834 0192. There is no charge for the trial.” John Pepper, Founder & Managing Director Managed24/7
